Ingredients

Burgers

  • 450g minced turkey breast meat
  • 1 medium red onion - finely chopped
  • 2 tbs fresh mint/coriander
  • salt and pepper - to taste
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 clove garlic chopped finely
  • 1/2 chopped red chilli (optional)

Raita

  • 3 tbs yoghurt
  • 1/2 tsp crushed garlic
  • a few chopped mint leaves

Salad

  • 2 handfuls baby spinach leaves
  • a couple of cherry tomatoes
  • half an avocado

Method

  • Combine all the burger ingredients in a bowl and mix well
  • Form 4 small patties - don’t make them too thick so they can cook through properly
  • Cook under a grill, on a griddle or fry in a tsp coconut oil
  • Combine all of the Raita ingredients in a bowl and mix well
  • Serve 1 or 2 burgers per person with the salad and a good dollop of the raita
